Psychoeducational Assessment
A psychoeducational assessment can provide information about a person’s cognitive and academic functioning and identify learning strengths and weaknesses.
This type of assessment often involves both an intellectual assessment and an academic assessment and is usually broken up into two visits. Information will also be obtained through parent and teacher questionnaires, interviews, and observations.
A psychoeducational assessment can determine whether a person meets diagnostic criteria for a Specific Learning Disorder in the areas of reading, writing, and math, and also explores a person’s social, emotional, and behavioural functioning.
